8. The scientific assembly created a space
for constructive discussions and dialogue
regarding SDGs and the role of SAIs
in monitoring them and the challenges
they face along the way. It was also an
opportunity to share experience and
expertise between the two SAIs and to
examine some models related to SDGs.
Recommendations of SAB delegation:
1. Renew the bilateral cooperation agreement
between SAB and the Moroccan Court
of Audit in order to continue sharing
knowledge and experience between the two
SAIs in the field of sustainable development.
2. Perform cooperative performance audit
tasks in one of the fields related to SDGs,
which will be decided later.
3. Familiarize the staff of both SAIs with SDGs
and develop the knowledge capacity of
auditors in order to consider these goals
during audit operations.
4. Make sure that both SAIs become role
models and an example to look forward to in
the field of implementing SDGs, especially
SDG 16.
5. Strengthen cooperation and share
experience between national statistics
institutions and our SAIs, given the
important role of these institutions in
collecting, processing, and producing
inputs and indicators within the framework
of following up on the implementation of
SDGs and in a way that enables SAIs to
fulfill their role.
