consultation among GCC SAIs about important
developments related to professional and audit
work and to achieve maximum benefit from
keeping up with these developments. That, in
addition to activating GCC SAIs’ participation in
regional and international organizations.
Furthermore, the meeting agenda included a
discussion of the 2020 training plan, the general
framework for implementing seminars and
conferences, and frameworks and standards
of implementing workshops and programs to
introduce mutual work decisions. In addition, the
meeting discussed the topic of the cooperative,
and comprehensive control, reviewed earlier
decisions taken by GCC SAI Heads, and
highlighted the improvements that should be
made to the media aspect of SAIs.
It is worthy to note that GCC SAI Heads meetings
are annual meetings held at the level of SAI
Heads, Undersecretaries, and the training and
development committee to discuss several topics
that are of interest to the audit work of GCC SAIs.
Many decisions have been made during these
meetings that address several issues of mutual
interest among GCC SAIs. Such as organizing
and developing cooperation between GCC
SAIs, strengthening connections between SAIs,
exploring activities, which are of interest to audit
work, and sharing experience and information in
a way that benefits the workflow and performance
of SAIs’ staff.
