SAB Participates in the
60
th Meeting of
ARABOSAI Executive Council
The State Audit Bureau of Kuwait (SAB), headed by the President of SAB Mr. Faisal Alshaya,
has participated in the 60th meeting of ARABOSAI Executive Council, which was held via video
conference on Monday, April 20, 2020. The virtual meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the
ARABOSAI Executive Council and the President of the State Audit Bureau of Qatar, Sheikh Bandar
bin Mohamed Al-Thani.
Along with Mr. Alshaya, the delegation of SAB included the Director of the Training and International
Relations Department, Mr. Saud Al-Zamanan, Controller of the International Relations Mrs. Heba
Alawadhi, and Chief Auditor at Defense, Security, and Public Affairs Audit Department Mr. Abdullah
Alsheetan.
The meeting discussed the programs and activities of ARABOSAI in the coming period, including
activities of AROBOSAI committees and the General Secretariat. The participants reviewed the
exceptional plan that was set by the ARABOSAI General Secretariat to enhance the capacities of Arab
SAIs in dealing with repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This plan included reconsidering
the training programs and workshops while taking into account the new needs of member SAIs in
response to the implications of the coronavirus outbreak. It also calls for the preparation of manuals
and working papers in order to support the member SAIs, in addition to directing interventions of
ARABOSAI in the field of auditing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) towards SDG 3, which
is related to the health sector. The exceptional plan was then adopted after being discussed by the
participants of the meeting.
