their activities since the previous meeting, report
on the ASOSAI capacity development activities,
report on the ASOSAI Journal, report on the
cooperation with other regional organizations
in the field of environmental audit, and a report
on the 12th ASOSAI Research Project. The
meeting participants also reviewed reports of the
INTOSAI committees and working groups, i.e.,
the Supervisory Committee on Emerging Issues
(SCEI), Policy, Finance, and Administration
Committee (PFAC), Knowledge Sharing
Committee (KSC), Professional Standards
Committee (PSC), Working Group on Public
Procurement Audit (WGPPA), Working Group on
IT Audit (WGITA), Working Group on Sustainable
Development Goals (WGSDG), and the Working
Group on Big Data (WGBD).
In addition, the virtual meeting dealt with other
issues relating to the activities of the INTOSAI
Governing Board as well as the activities of the
ASEANSAI. Participants of the meeting have
also discussed the preparation for the 15th
ASOSAI Assembly along with the accompanying
meetings that are planned to be held in Thailand
during 2021. In the meeting, the members have
adopted and approved the renewal of the term of
ASOSAI Secretary-General for the period 2021-
2024.
Further, the State Audit Bureau has participated
in a teleconference meeting held by ASOSAI
Capacity Building Committee on Friday, July
24, 2020. Mrs. Heba Alawadhi, Controller of the
International Relations, Training and International
Relations Department, has participated on behalf
of SAB. During the meeting, the participants
reviewed the capacity building activities of
ASOSAI since the 54th ASOSAI Governing
Board Meeting, which was held in Kuwait in July
2019. They have also discussed the 2020-2021
action plan for the capacity building activity of
the Organization, including the implications
of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on
programs of the SAIs. Besides, the meeting
featured discussions on the current and future
ASOSAI-IDI cooperation in line with principles of
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
