Council of Ministers. A net value of K.D 29 million
was spent from the above-mentioned fund. The
items included providing medical equipment,
supplies, pharmaceuticals, and consumables
for the Ministry of Health. In addition to providing
antiseptics and securing a fully equipped health
quarantine to accommodate 5000 members of
staff from the Ministry of Public Works.
The topics also included 32 items by the Ministry
of Finance of an approximate net worth of K.D 50
million. The topics cover the supply of institutional
quarantining facilities such as five-star hotels,
resorts, and apartment suites of an appropriate
standard to accommodate the citizens arriving
from abroad. These facilities are of a daily rate
that goes between K.D 4000 to 45000 inclusive
all maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning,
ironing, transportation, services, and available
ballrooms. The daily rate is divergent based on
capacity and classification. It is worth saying that
these facilities must comply with the instructions
of both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of
Interior along with any considerations deemed
necessary by the concerned authorities. The
facilities are to be supplied with daily meals and
the accounting shall be conducted on an actual
basis.
The items that are immediately correlated
with encountering the crisis’ implications also
included 15 topics by the Ministry of Defense of
the approximate worth of K.D 12 million. As for the
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), one
topic has been presented regarding the costs of
its evacuation flights. That is regarding proposed
contracting with several airline companies for the
evacuation expenses. Said disbursements are
worth K.D 20 million for the citizens, while K.D
5 million for residency violators. SAB has issued
its opinion in approving contracts worth K.D 3
million of value with airline companies to bring
home citizens. SAB also returned the documents
of the rest of the presented contracts for more
review and further investigations on the validation
of the presented prices along with allocating the
responsible entities for bearing said costs. SAB
then requested re-submitting said documents for
further reviews and to provide pre-opinion about
the items.
