Recommendations:
1. Raise awareness and knowledge among
SAB staff of the definition and goals of the
SDGs and the role of SAIs based on Abu
Dhabi Declaration, which took place in
December 2016 (INCOSAI XXII);
2. Raise public awareness on the definition
and goals of the SDGs by coordinating
with the ministries, government agencies,
members of the civil society, and other
stakeholders;
3. Coordinate and communicate with the
competent entity, the Supreme Council for
Planning and Development (SCPD), on the
preparedness for implementing SDGs in
order to put into effect the 2030 Agenda;
4. Collect and consider the key experiences
of SAIs in the field of auditing the
implementation of SDGs in order to draw
upon the best of such experiences;
5. Create a mechanism to activate
communication with the stakeholders for
being partners in the implementation of
SDGs;
6. Consider the trends of and steps taken
by the government with respect to the
preparedness for implementing the 2030
Agenda;
7. Examine performance of the entity
responsible for the production of the
comprehensive and integrated statistical
statement of the country since this
statement is considered the cornerstone of
government strategies and policies;
8. Engage the National Assembly - the
Parliament - through the establishment of
committees to follow-up government action
with respect to the commitment to SDGs
implementation; and
