Public Tenders, the Ministry of Finance,
and the Department for Legal Advice
and Legislation. Methods for coordination
between these entities were considered
to accelerate the necessary procedures
and issue the required approvals of the
concerned control entities. The formation of
an emergency team for that given stage was
also discussed.
• A meeting was held between SAB
President- Mr. Faisal Al-Shaya and H.H
the Prime Minister- Sheikh Sabah Al-
Khaled Al-Sabah at the premises of the
Council of Ministers’ General Secretariat
on Wednesday 08/04/2020. The parties
discussed the public contracting during
the Novel Coronavirus crisis. Among the
attendees were the Minister of Foreign
Affairs- Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-
Mohammad, the Minister of Health- Shiekh
Dr. Basel Al-Sabah, Minister of the State
for Housing Affairs and Public Works- Dr.
Rana Al-Fares, the General Secretary
of the Council of Ministers- Abdul Latif
Al-Roudhan, and the Assistant General
Secretary of the Financial and Administrative
Affairs Secretariat- Mr. Osama Al-Duaij. SAB
was represented by its Undersecretary- Mr.
Abdul Aziz Al-Holi and the Deputy Assistant
Undersecretary of Pre-Audit and Technical
Support- Mr. Sulaiman Al-Busairi who is also
the supervisor of the Emergency Team.
• A meeting with the Ministry of Interior on
27/04/2020 attended by SAB President-
Faisal Al-Shaya, The Ministry of Interior’s
Undersecretary- Mr. Essam Al-Naham,
and several members of the Ministry.
