The Fifth Generation (5G)
of Cellular Phones
S
ince the advent of cellular networks and through every
decade, mobile device manufacturers and their inter-
connecting networks have introduced new requirements for
transmission speeds, capacity and other technical specifi-
cations. Such latest requirement are titled as the latest gen-
eration and is commonly referred to as the "G". Each evo-
lution of the wireless networking technology is categorized
by the speed of data transmission, since each generation in
known for a different speed for transferring the data, and the
data transmission mechanism, or so-called Encoding Method or Air Interface,
which makes it incompatible with the previous generation.
