SAB has made outstanding efforts since its es-
tablishment to achieve the desired goals by de-
veloping the means of control, auditing and deal-
ing with the entities subject to its control, as well
as to benefit from the experience and expertise
of professional and supervisory institutions at the
local, regional and international levels.
Considering the work of the State Audit Bureau,
we can devise five main reasons why SAB is one
of the leading professional and technical institu-
tions, which are as follows:
First:
The mechanism of selecting SAB`s Staff:
SAB has developed a defined plan for attracting
technical and support staff, which has been ap-
plied and developed since its establishment. The
main features of the plan are that it has set several
conditions for those who wish to work in SAB,
most importantly the following conditions:
The applicant should score at least a (very good
GPA) when applying to join SAB.
Successful completion of SAB`s Professional
Testing.
Passing a personal interview.
These and other conditions enable SAB to se-
lect employees who are of scientific and personal
competence and have the likelihood to engage in
the field of audit work that requires very distinct
skills and knowledge.
Second:
The specific training plan at all levels:
SAB trains its staff in a well-defined and profes-
sional manner, and develops a special training
program from the beginning of their appointment
in SAB and lasts until the end of service. The main
features of this plan are:
A- New recruits programme:
following the de-
cision to appoint new staff members in SAB, a
specific time is allocated to a training programme
that provides new staff with the most important
knowledge and skills that enable them to perform
their functions. SAB prepared this program for
each specialization in a separate manner in order
to increase the quality of training work and ensure
that all knowledge and skills are delivered to the
intended parties. For example, a special program
is prepared for accountants, one for legal staff,
one for engineers, and one for the administrators

he SAI`s work nature requires more efforts and actions that
ensure a high level of performance to achieve their goals,
which are represented in the protection of the public funds and
to assume the great responsibility that rests on the said SAIs to
keep up with the recent updates in the audit. The said it to achieve
the hopes and aspirations of the societies and the legislative and
executive authorities.
As a result of the recent and rapid developments in the audit field,
the State Audit Bureau of Kuwait (SAB) is keen on performing its
missions and functions in a highly professionally manner. The said is to ensure the
protection of the public funds and gain the trust of the entities subject to its control,
as well as to the legislative and executive authorities, the institutions of Civil Soci-
ety and the society in general.
