developments in the said field. As well as enhanc-
ing and improving the expertise and skills through
cooperation with different SAIs , which is to be
achieved through cooperation agreements and
memorandums of understanding to be signed be-
tween the respective SAIs. In addition to pursuing
the work in providing proper training opportunities
for all the staff members.
On the other hand, General Director of the National
Audit Office of China Mr. Zhang Guangchun said
that this year marks the 47th anniversary of the
diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait.
Since the start, both countries pursed their work in
supporting each other in international and regional
forums.
Guangchun also referred to the fact that the Ku-
wait and the Chines SAIs are both members in
the “ASOSAI & INTOSAI” organizations and that
contributed in maintaining the friendly relations be-
tween the two SAIs that was achieved through the
close cooperation and the good communications.
He also added that the workshop theme contains
a future perspective regarding the recent develop-
ments, which emerged in the audit trends.
He also noted that the audit field have recently ad-
opted many unprecedented development oppor-
tunities, as well as to facing many challenges. He
added that the audit process requires overcoming
obstacles and constraints of traditional methods
and models, as well as to strive to score a quan-
tum leap and pursue for further developments. He
mentioned that creative developments requires
joint discoveries among auditors of all countries.
The workshop proves SAB`s efforts in expanding
the cooperation horizons between the SAIs, as well
as to exchange knowledge and expertise, which
shall be achieved through the discussion and the
studies of the topics raised during the workshop
sessions.
SAB representatives included, Mr. Ehssan Ibra-
him – Chief Auditor and Mr. Mohammed Al-Mujadi
– Auditor of the Companies audit Department.
Alongside to Mrs. Hessah Al-Masha`an – Princi-
pal Auditor of Performance Audit Department and
Mrs. Dalal Al-Whaib – Associate Auditor of the
Social Affair Pre-Audit Department. In addition to
Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Ansari – IT Senior
Auditor of the Technical Support Department,
Mrs. Rodaina Al-Futhalah - Associate Auditor of
the Economic Affairs Pre- Audit Department , Mrs.
Noura Al-Shammri – Associate Auditor of the Inde-
pendent Bodies of Services and Economic Affairs
Audit Department and Mr. Abdullrahman Al-Kandri
- Associate Auditor of the Performance Audit De-
partment . Last but not least, Mrs. Shaika Al-Nami
- Assistant Auditor of the Supplementary Bodies
of Services & Investment Affairs Audit Department.
The recommendations were put as follows:
- Studying the possibility of developing electronic
systems to be fed in an automated manner from
the state central systems ( e.g. Ministry of Finance
financial System and Integrated Systems of the
Civil Service Commission ) to be analyzed in and
automated manner , provide the data required by
the auditors and contribute in increasing the au-
