Sulaiman Dawood Al-
Busairi
Dear brothers and sisters members of the State Audit Bureau’s staff
Writing about the events that I witnessed during my career, which
spanned for (42) years, I recalled many and various events including
those related to the performance of missions of all the positions I
occupied. They are a personal reflection of successes as well as
added values. The most important of which are those that relate to
the interests and protection of our country. During my service, I
witnessed two important events, during which my experience was full
of interconnected feelings. The first was the crisis of the brutal Iraqi
invasion of the beloved State of Kuwait.
One of the difficulties of my experience was that I was out of the country;
I was in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the invasion. My effective
contribution was at the request of His Excellency the Ambassador of
the State of Kuwait in Cairo, Mr. Abdel Razzaq Al-Kandari, to take over
the administration of the embassy funds. I was assigned to coordinate
with the Investment Office in London and the Egyptian banks to finance
the embassy with its financial needs for disbursement to ministries and
government departments and the subsistence of the Kuwaiti citizens.
During that period, I was invited to participate in the Jeddah conference
along with the elite figures of the ruling family, politicians, and members
of the Kuwaiti society from all walks of life. The conference was
intended to give legitimacy and to support the participation of friendly
countries in the coalition for the liberation of Kuwait.
After that, through my position at the General Administration of
Civil Aviation, I contributed with great efforts in the restoration and
rehabilitation of Kuwait International Airport following the liberation of
the State of Kuwait. The airport was operated again with full capacity
