The State Audit Bureau
Signs a Memorandum
of Understanding with
Nazaha
On Wednesday, 11th of November 2020, the
State Audit Bureau, represented by the President
of the State Audit Bureau, Mr. Faisal Al-Shaya,
and Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority “Nazaha”
represented by the head of the Authority Mr.
Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim, signed a memorandum
of understanding within the framework of the
joint cooperation between the two bodies. This
step comes as a new measure in the course
of professional relations at the level of Kuwait
control authorities.
This agreement is a culmination of work and effort
between the two bodies that were performed
during the previous period, and an expression
of joint cooperation to achieve the public interest
in combating corruption and preserving public
funds.
The MoU aims to strengthen the national
commitment in preventing and combating
corruption and confirms the readiness of the
control bodies to achieve the related directives
addressed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh
Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah
protect him.

was attended by SAB Vice President, Mr. Adel
Al-Sarawi, SAB Undersecretary, Mr. Abdulaziz
Al-Houli, SAB President’s Consultant, Mr. Ismail
Al-Ghanim, Asst. Undersecretary of Legal
Affairs, Financial Breaches and Performance
Audit Sector, Mr. Yousef Al-Mazrouei, Asst.
Undersecretary of Ministries and Government
Departments Audit Sector, Mr. Esam Al-Roumi,
Asst. Undersecretary of Pre-Audit and Technical
Support, Mr. Khaled Al-Abdulghafoor, Asst.
Undersecretary of Supplementary Bodies and
Companies Audit Sector, Mr. Yousef Al-Fouzan,
Asst. Undersecretary of Independent Bodies
Audit Sector, Mr. Sami Al-Dowaihees. From
the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority “Nazaha”,
the Acting Secretary-General of the Authority,
Dr. Muhammad Bozobar, and the Director of
the Authority President’s Office, Mr. Khaled Al-
Rumaihi.
The State Audit Bureau and the Kuwait Anti-
Corruption Authority “Nazaha” are cooperating
in the training field of their staff besides other
fields of cooperation. It is worth mentioning that
the State Audit Bureau referred 36 reports and
topics to “Nazaha”, while the issues that were
referred by the Authority to the State Audit Bureau
were 17 topics, which confirms the importance of
signing such memorandum of understanding to
achieve the common goals and public interest of
both parties.
