What is the nature of your supreme audit
institution relation with the Parliament?
- KNAO on behalf of the Assembly of the Re-
public of Kosovo controls the expenditures of
public money, assists the Assembly to hold ac-
countable government and public institutions
on how they spend public money and helps
those in charge of providing public services to
improve their performance in delivering servic-
es at the central and local level. The Assembly

General for a term of five years.
The Auditor General, as the Head of the Na-
tional Audit Office, is accountable before the
Assembly for performing the duties and pow-
ers set forth by the Constitution, the Law,
secondary legislation and internationally rec-
ognized public sector auditing standards. He
provide to the Assembly an Annual Perfor-
mance Report on the activities of the National
Audit Office. He annually present the Annual
Audit Report in the Plenary Session of the As-
sembly
