Within the visit of the National Assembly’s Speaker
to the State Audit Bureau (SAB)
Al-Ghanim commends SAB’s interaction
with the National Assembly Committees
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Mar-
zouq Al-Ghanim, praised the effective role of the
State Audit Bureau in cooperating with the par-
liamentary committees of the National Assembly.
This cooperation would generally serve the pub-
lic interest of the State of Kuwait and protect the
public funds from waste and depletion in par-
ticular.
This took place during Al-Ghanim’s visit to the
Acting President of SAB Mr. Adel Al-Sarawi, in
the presence of SAB’s Undersecretary Mr. Ismail
Al-Ghanem and the Assistant Undersecretary of
Ministries and Government Departments Audit
Sector and the A/Assistant Undersecretary of
Pre-Audit and Technical Support Sector Mr. Su-
laiman Al-Busairi. This is in addition to the Assis-
tant Undersecretary of Independent Bodies Au-
dit Sector Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Houli, the Assistant
Undersecretary of Supplementary Bodies and
Companies Audit Sector Mr. Yousef Al-Mazroui,
and the A/Assistant Undersecretary of Admin-
istrative and Financial Affairs and IT Sector Mr.
Saud Al-Zamanan.
Furthermore, the Acting President of SAB, Mr.
Adel Al-Sarawi, has appreciated the support
provided for SAB’s audit work by the National
Assembly and its parliamentary committees.
Such support reflects positively on the efficien-
cy of SAB’s audit methods and contributes in
achieving an effective audit on the public funds
to ensure protection and optimal use of such
funds. This would thereby improve the quality
of SAB’s audit outcome, such as its special and
annual reports that are presented for both the
legislative and executive authorities.
Al-Sarawi added that the cooperation of SAB
with the legislative authority is at the core of its
audit tasks, which would provide an added val-
ue and a positive dimension to its audit role. He
also noted that it is important to enhance com-
munication and mutual cooperation in order to
achieve the objectives of SAB Strategic Plan
with regards to activating communication with
stakeholders
