Sheikh Bandar’s Biography:
• Sheikh Bandar Bin Mohammed Bin Saoud Al-Thani was born in 1977.
• He was appointed under the Emiri Decree No. (16) of 2015 as the President of the State
Audit Bureau of Qatar as of March 2015 ,12.
• He was appointed in February 2009 the CEO of the Qatar Credit Bureau.
• Sheikh Bandar holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) degree
from Paris Graduate School as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
(Finance) from the American University in Washington D.C., the United States.
• Before assuming his current position, Sheikh Bandar spent a very long period of his
professional career working in the financial sector. He occupied several high-level
positions in the Central Bank of Qatar. His professional journey first started in January
2002, when he worked in the Bank Supervision Department/ Credit Division. In
September of the same year, he joined the Investment Department as a financial trader.
• In December 2008, Sheikh Bandar was appointed Acting Director of the Qatar Credit
Bureau Project. He then chaired the establishment committee of the Project and was
therefore assigned by the Central Bank of Qatar to supervise the establishment of the
Credit Bureau.
• In addition to assuming his responsibilities as the CEO of the Qatar Credit Bureau, Sheikh
Bandar was appointed on July 2014 ,1, as the Acting Director of the Risk Department in
the Central Bank of Qatar.
• Besides his position as the CEO of the Qatar Credit Bureau, Sheikh Bandar was
appointed as a member of the “Qatar Projects” Governing Board and a member of the
Executive Committee, representing the Central Bank of Qatar.
